DDCDC Funds Outdoor Arbour for St. Frances Cree Bilingual School

Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation (DDCDC) has committed $250,000 to build an outdoor arbour at the new St. Frances Cree Bilingual School. The pwātisiwakamik gathering space will host cultural ceremonies, such as powwows and round dances, and serve as an educational hub for traditional cultural practices.
The arbour is part of a broader initiative to promote culturally informed education and align with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. By supporting this space, DDCDC strengthens traditions, celebrates culture, and fosters community learning.
