- Charitable organizations;
- Foundations;
- Non-profit organizations;
- Amateur sports or athletic associations;
- Educational institutions;
- Regional health authorities and affiliates;
- Other legal entities created, registered, or licensed in accordance with applicable legislation that have sought and obtained a Registration Number;
- Local, community-based, and/or grassroots organizations that are not created, registered, or licensed in accordance with applicable legislation may be considered provided that;
- Their primary object or purpose is community-based and is for broad community benefit.
What is eligible for funding?
All categories within the Gaming Framework Agreement (GFA) will be considered for funding. Preference will be given to the funding priorities of the DDCDC:
- Economic Development;
- Social Development;
- Justice Initiatives;
- Education Development;
- Recreational facilities operation and development;
- Senior and Youth Programming;
- Cultural Development;
- Community Infrastructure Development and maintenance;
- Health Initiatives; and,
- Other Charitable purposes.
Special consideration will be given to the following target groups and the priority areas identified by the DDCDC Board:
- First Nations;
- Youth;
- Seniors; and
- Socially and economically disadvantaged groups.
